A COUPLES INTENSIVE RETREAT

A therapeutic weekend for couples navigating recovery after sexual betrayal

Friday October 17th – Sunday October 19th 2025

This in-person retreat is for couples who are recovering from the impact of sexual betrayal - whether through pornography use, infidelity, or compulsive sexual behaviour - and who are ready to move beyond crisis and engage in the deeper work of relational healing.

If you've made progress in early recovery, and you're no longer stuck in the constant chaos of triggers and dysregulation, you may now be wondering Where do we go from here?

This intensive is designed to help you begin answering that question and includes 24 hours of group therapy.

The full cost for this weekend intensive is $3400 NZD, which includes morning and afternoon refreshments and lunch. Accommodation is not included.

Please direct any enquiries to: [email protected]

Who Is It For?

This intensive retreat is ideal for couples who:

  • Are no longer in the immediate aftermath of discovery or disclosure
  • Have begun stabilising and can self-regulate emotionally some of the time
  • Are open to engaging with deeper emotional work around grief, intimacy and meaning
  • Want to reconnect, or discern what moving forward together might look like
  • Are ready to do the hard work - instead of avoiding it

You don't need to have it all figured out. You just need to be willing to show up, reflect honestly, and engage with curiosity and courage.

What To Expect

Led by a team of deeply empathetic and skilled facilitators, this intensive blends support, couple-focused sessions, and individual reflection.

Over the course of the weekend, you will:

  • Reflect on your journey so far - as individuals and as a couple
  • Name and honour the losses betrayal has created
  • Gain practical tools for engaging difficult conversations safely
  • Begin building a shared understanding of the past
  • Experience a felt sense of connection - even in the midst of grief
  • Clarify what healing could look like, and what's needed to pursue it

The retreat is held in a small group setting with other couples on similar journeys. You'll find not only expert guidance, but also a sense of solidarity and shared hope. The space is emotionally safe, non-judgmental and trauma- informed.

This isn't a quick fix - but it is a powerful turning point!

Through this work, you will gain gain clarity and insight, as well as practical tools for moving forward with intention and empathy. You may not leave with every question answered, but you'll leave with new experiences and awareness about what still needs work, and how to engage it with integrity, intention, and care.

This is an invitation to move from "my story" and "your story" to a deeper, truer "story of us".

What past participants are saying:

"The cost per person would add up to about what we’d pay for less than 10 individual therapy or coaching sessions. This format, with staying onsite, the group, the intensity was for us, much more helpful. "

"The couple's intensive workshop was an amazing experience. I highly recommend it for any couple navigating their relationship after betrayal. The insights and tools I gained over the weekend were profound. Most importantly, I found hope for moving forward in my relationship with my partner."

"We were in such a stuck place before the retreat...We left with clarity, connection and a real understanding of what healing together could look like"

LOCATION

The intensive will take place in North Canterbury, around 40 minutes outside of Christchurch. Full details of location will be provided after booking.
