LOCATION

At just under an hour's drive from Sydney, the Forgotten Valley Country Retreat is a perfect rural retreat in the Hawkesbury region of Sydney. The expansive property contains three self-contained homes, all of which will be occupied by people booked onto this intensive.

Unwind in landscaped grounds surrounded by mountains, valleys, rivers and forests abundant in native wildlife. 

The grounds include pathways and a small flowing creek with a water feature pond. There are gazebos and picnic spots to relax and take in the tranquil surrounds. 

The nearest airport is Sydney which is 83km away by car.

Friday July 14th – Monday July 17th 2023

Arrive 5pm Friday and Depart 10am Monday

Each day at the retreat will include mealtimes together, focused grief group activities, personal reflection time, and social time. Full use of the facilities is included and there will be plenty of opportunities for relaxing, exploring, just ‘hanging out’ or playing games together. There may even be a few surprise activities to enjoy!

Meet the Team

Cat Etherington is the Director of Recovery for Naked Truth Project, she lives in Durham in the North East of England and is married with two daughters. Cat is a certified professional life coach and integrative counselling practitioner, working with individuals and couples impacted by problematic sexual behaviour and betrayal. Cat was the first ever European practitioner to be certified by the Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS) and now serves on their Board of Directors. With personal experience of both addiction and betrayal, Cat has unique insight into the journey of recovery and healing.

Fran Hopwood lives in North Wales, with her daughters and grandchildren nearby who help keep her young and active! She is a Certified Professional Coach, Brave Hearts Mentor and Certified Partner Coach with APSATS. With a long history in the education sector, Fran made the switch to personal coaching after walking her own healing journey for several years. Fran has taken additional trainings with A Door of Hope and knows, first-hand, the challenges of healing after betrayal, offering both personal and professional insight for overcoming them.
